If you are planning what to watch this weekend, three new arrivals make the decision easier — and they could not be more different from one another.
First, The Mongoose is the theatrical pick. It is the one to see on a big screen, where tension, sound, and scale do most of the work.
Then there are the streaming options. Nocturne arrives on Apple TV on October 30, with its first two episodes leading a 10-episode run. It is a crime drama, so expect atmosphere and slow-burn suspense rather than a quick, tidy mystery.
Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 is the returning-series pick for viewers who like a familiar character with a complicated moral code.
One question keeps coming up: is Nocturne on Netflix? The short answer is no — it is on Apple TV only. Our guide, Is Nocturne on Netflix?, lays out where to watch it instead, so you do not waste time searching the wrong service.
My weekend plan is simple: the theater for The Mongoose, then Nocturne at home to see whether its opening episodes earn the rest of the season.
